Overview
The DMG Mori ULTRASONIC 60 precision is a mid-size 5-axis machining center optimized for ultrasonic-assisted processing of advanced ceramics, technical glass, and hard-brittle materials. With axis travels of 600 x 600 x 510 mm (23.6 x 23.6 x 20.1 in) and workpiece capacity up to 600 mm diameter by 400 mm height at 300 kg, it handles mid-size ceramic and glass components for aerospace, semiconductor, and industrial applications.
The standard spindle runs at 20,000 RPM through HSK-63, with a 32,000 RPM SpindleMAST option. The swivel/rotary table provides -35 to +110 degrees B-axis range with 300 RPM direct-drive C-axis. Built on a monolithic bed with precision-cooled linear guides, achieving 5-micrometer positioning accuracy as standard.
A 60-slot tool changer (expandable to 120) accommodates ULTRASONIC actuators in every second slot. 7.0 m2 footprint. Includes ULTRASONIC feedCONTROL, intoolSENSOR, and MPC 2.0. Siemens control with CELOS SideScreen. Pricing from $500,000 to $700,000.
