Overview
The Mazak QTE is Yamazaki Mazak's compact, high-speed turning center designed for small-part production where fast cycle times and precision matter more than heavy stock removal. Available in 6-inch (QTE-100) and 8-inch (QTE-200) chuck sizes, the QTE targets the high-volume production market where every second shaved off a cycle adds up across thousands of parts.
The QTE-100 SG runs a 6-inch chuck with a max turning diameter of 290 mm (11.42 in) and turning lengths from 299 mm (11.77 in) to 596 mm (23.46 in). The QTE-200 SG steps up to an 8-inch chuck with a 350 mm (13.8 in) max turning diameter and turning lengths up to 1,085 mm (42.7 in) on the long-bed variant. Spindle speeds reach 6,000 RPM on the 6-inch and 5,000 RPM on the 8-inch, with built-in motor spindles delivering 15 kW (20 hp) and 18.5 kW (25 hp) respectively.
