The Citizen Miyano ABX-80SYY is the largest-bore twin-turret, dual-Y-axis CNC lathe in Citizen's Miyano fixed-headstock lineup, handling bar stock up to 80mm in diameter. Stepping up from the ABX-65SYY, the 80mm capacity opens the platform to larger industrial components—automotive driveline parts, oil and gas fittings, large hydraulic valve bodies, and heavy industrial couplings—while maintaining the dual-channel multi-tasking capability that defines the ABX series.

The ABX-80SYY features independent Y-axis travel on both the upper and lower turrets, enabling simultaneous off-centerline machining on the main and sub-spindle sides. The main spindle reaches 3,500 RPM with an 18.5 kW motor—the lower RPM reflecting the larger spindle bore, while the increased power provides the torque needed for productive cutting at the 80mm bar diameter. Both turrets carry 12 live tool positions each, giving the machine 24 total stations with full milling capability.

At the 80mm bar size, cutting forces and heat generation are significantly higher than on smaller machines.
